Today I am going to write about SSC syllabus for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination (CHSL).

SSC has been announced date of CHSL examination for  the post of DEO & LDC. , which is going to be held on 02.11.2014 & 09.11.2014.

Now I am going to discuss about SSC exam patter for CHSL exam:

SSC conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination (CHSL) every year to recruit Data Entry Operators (DEO) & Lower Division Clerks (LDC) for various central Govt. organizations in India.

This exam conducts into two parts:

Part One: Written Exam (Objective type)

Part Two : Skills test or typing test.

The cutoff marks (merit list) is based on your marks in written test.

The CHSL written exam is an objective type exam of 200 marks to be complete in 2 hours.

This exam has four sections as given in following table.

Right answer gives you 1 marks . There is negative marking so before mark any answer be careful for a wrong answer you have to pay 0.25 marks.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operators in CHSL:

There will be a hard copy of passage of 2000-2200 strokes /key-depressions in English language.

You have to enter this passage in provide software within 15  minutes.

Your are qualify or not it depends on how many correct entries you did and what is your key depressions.

This test is only qualifying nature so you have to make sure you reach at threshold level of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour i.e. in 15 minutes, you have to make 2,000 correct key depressions.

Typing Test for LDCs in CHSL:

Typing test for LDC is similar to Skill Test for Data Entry Operators in CHSL.

You have to choose the option for language of test either in Hindi or English.

There will be a passage to enter within 10 minutes correctly.

They will judge your speed how may entries you did correctly on the given software.

It is only a qualifying exam so you have to reach the minimum level of :

1.0) If  take the test in English: 35 words per minute (10500 key depressions/hour).
2.0) If  take the test in Hindi: 30 words per minute (9000 key depressions/hour).
