Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence) has excellent opportunity for Men and Women to become a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard – 02/2015 Batch (Training Commencing Tentatively June 2015 / July 2015). Eligible Indian Citizens Apply Online between 22 November to 28th November 2014. The ICG invites applications from the eligible candidates for 41 posts. Educational Qualifications:

General Duty: Should hold a Bachelor’s degree of recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education with 60% aggregate marks of both subjects.

Technical Branch: Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in required discipline with 60% marks.

Pilots: Aggregate 60% marks in 12th standard also 60% aggregate marks of both Mathematics and  Physics subjects. Should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) approved by DGCA on the date of Preliminary Selection.

Law :A Degree in Law with minimum 60 % marks (Three years degree in Law after graduation) or (Five years after 10+2 examination).

Medical Standards:

(A) Height:

(i) Asst Commandant (GD) and Technical – 157 cms minimum. Reduction in height
for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the
Central Govt. regulations.
(ii) Asst Commandant General duty (Women) – 152 cms.
(iii) Asst Commandant (Pilot) and Asst Commandant Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders for Short Service Appointment (Men/Women) – Minimum 162.5 cms and maximum 197 cms, leg length minimum 99 cms.

(B) Weight – Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.

(C) Chest – Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms.

(D) Eye Sight:

(i) Asst Commandant (GD) ->  6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass. and Asst Comdt GD(Women))  6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
(ii) Asst Commandant GD(P/N) -> 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other /CPL Holders SSA correctable to 6/6.
(iii) Asst Commandant (Tech) -> 6/36 6/36 – Uncorrected without Glass. 6/6 6/6 – Corrected with Glass.
(iv) Asst Commandant (Law) -> 6/60 6/60 – Uncorrected without Glass. 6/6 6/12 – Corrected with Glass.

Selection Process: Short listing of Applications, Preliminary Selection, Final Selection, Medical, PABT, Validity of Selection, Reasons for Rejection, Merit List.

How To Apply: Applications will be accepted only Online from 22/11/2014 to 28/11/2014 for all branches except Law branch for which applications will be accepted from 01/12/2014 to 03/12/2014.
